Mirador Challenge - Walkers Dream
2nd– 5th April 2016
If you’re into walking as a hobby or as a sport, then this is the perfect Serendipity Experience weekend for you.
The Costa Blanca has so much to offer and is a feast for your eyes! The famous Javea Amigos Mirador Challenge is the highlight of the weekend; 150 people walk in teams of 5 along the 29 km trail covering every Mirador (view point) of this stunningly beautiful coastline.
This is a wonderful opportunity to hang out with like-minded people and explore something new!
Saturday 2nd April 2016
Arrival at Alicante airport in the morning. We will arrange your transfer to Javea, check in is from 12 Noon.
Our infamous quirky welcome tea will start at 4pm and is a lovely way to get to know your fellow guests.
After tea we’re going for a stroll/stretch by the sea in preparation for the trek tomorrow.
A delicious light supper will be served at the villa and you will probably want an early night.
Sunday 3rd April 2016
We’ll be offering a walkers breakfast at 7am to keep you filled with energy. Your host Amanda will guide the way so you can really enjoy the scenery.
Lunch will be provided at Portixol, (the half-way point) and we will carry extra snacks so that you don’t get hungry midway through.
We aim to finish the walk at around 2pm, it is always great fun at the finishing line as drinks and snacks will be awaiting us.
We shall return to La Casa for a stretch, shower and a delicious paella. This local delicacy is sure to fill you up and no doubt you’ll be ready for a Siesta or a treatment. In the evening we’ll be heading down to a local bar for the Mirador Challenge presentation evening and some live music.
The photos of the day will be on the screen and we may even pick up a trophy!
Monday 4th April 2016
No early starts today, feel free to grab yourself a lie in. A buffet breakfast awaits you and then a yoga session.
We’ll then be jumping in the Serendipity Campervan and heading over the mountain to the port side town of Denia which offers great views of the Mediterranean.
We’ll be eating lunch at Republic in the marina.
To stretch your legs, it’s time for a nice stroll around the base of the Montgo, an elephant shaped mountain.
After tapas at home it’s time for a dreamy, relaxing, fun night at Café Del Mar. This local bar offers great live music every Monday night and is situated right by the sea.
Tuesday 5th April 2016
As it’s the final day we’ll be heading into Javea old town for a mooch through the cobbled streets and see the gothic church.
We’ll grab breakfast in one of the busy squares so you can soak up the Spanish atmosphere.
We will have arranged your return transport to Alicante Airport. You’ll have walked, eaten and really ‘lived’ during this weekend, it’s easy to see why The Serendipity Experience weekends are so popular.
